Goldenberg Concert Series XII : Anibersaryo, Ang Unang Taon
The Office of the Social Secretary is proud to present the twelfth installment from the Goldenberg Concert Series featuring decorated and renowned artists, Ms. Rose Belle Cama, Ms. Iqui Vinculado, Ms. Fatima Aquias, Ms. Charisse Toledo and Ms. Sheila Marie Ferrer.
Rose Belle Cama graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Santo Tomas. For the past ten years, she has been teaching and cultivating talents of young and adult beginners in music. Aside from teaching, she has been a part of projects and performances by various prestigious orchestras and ensembles in the Philippines which include the following :
Rose is currently a cello teacher for the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth, a project headed by Maestro Gerard Salonga and the Rondalla class in Centro Escolar University.
Iqui Vinculado is a classical guitarist dedicated to promoting Filipino music through her love for classical guitar. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas’ Conservatory of Music becoming the first female graduate of Classical Guitar Performance in 2013. Iqui has produced an Extended Play titled "Isang Araw," in collaboration with Amistad, a songwriting duo. She has worked closely with various artists, contributing to the writing, production and performance of both classical and contemporary pieces. She also has been part of various music production like CCP’s Isang Gabi ng Sarsuela, and has accompanied the all-male powerhouse choir, Aleron. Currently, she is a member of the PIMA Guitar Quartet, an exceptional group of four classical guitarists and Kuwerdas Filipinas Symphonic Rondalla.
Fatima Matas Aquias developed a love for music at the age of four and began honing her skills in both violin and piano under the guidance of her grandmother and parents. She pursued formal training in piano and violin at the University of the Philippines College of Music, studied organ at the Yamaha School of Music, and later graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Major in Violin. Fatima's early success includes winning the Yamaha Electone Grand Champion Junior Category at the National Level in 1989. She further established her reputation as a skilled musician when she became a resident pianist at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore in 1989 and the Manila Pavilion Hotel in 1992-1993. Today, she is a faculty member at the University of Santo Tomas' extension program, where she shares her expertise with the next generation of musicians.
Charisse Toledo is a talented violinist born into a family of musicians and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Eastern Philippines Diliman. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the San Beda University Manila College of Law. She began her music journey early in life and has been a member of several renowned orchestras in the Philippines which include the following :
Charisse has performed in various local and international concerts, including tours to various University of the Philippines campuses around the country, the 2023 Concert of Goodwill in National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, Taiwan and the 12th China-ASEAN Music Festival in Nanning, China.
Sheila Marie Ferrer, a Filipina soprano, who studied Vocal Performance at the University of the Philippines College of Music under the tutelage of Professor Cecilia Ongsiako-Valeña and trained with renowned Filipino vocals pedagogues. Her achievements and notable performances include the following :
Sheila's opera credits include her roles as Annina in La Traviate, as Serpina in La Serva Padrona, and as a chorus member in Turandot. She is currently part of the Philippine Opera Company's Harana, which aims to promote the evolution of Philippine music.
The beautiful concert took place on the 14th of March 2025, at the majestic Goldenberg Mansion. The show had two sets with a special audience from various educational institutions at 2pm and 5pm.
The 2pm show welcomed musically inclined students from Rizal Elementary School, Pembo Elementary School, Taguig Integrated School and Signal Village National Science High School.
The students were left in awe of the highly esteemed and decorated group of musicians whose long list of musical accolades were on full display. They enjoyed the stellar, nostalgic and romantic performances from the 1st year Anniversary of the concert series held at the enchanting Goldenberg Mansion.
