Tapiserya: Joel Geolamen and Lynyrd Paras is the third Goldenberg Art Series, held in partnership with Salcedo Private View as part of Art Fair Philippines’ 10 Days of Art. Running from February 21 to 23, 2025, the exhibition showcases Geolamen’s intricate paintings of indigenous textiles and Paras’ expressive figurative works, both exploring themes of identity, resilience, and cultural heritage. Geolamen’s works highlight the rich traditions of Filipino handwoven textiles, while Paras’ art delves into the emotional and psychological depth of the Filipino spirit.
The exhibit features 10 oil paintings by Geolamen and a mix of paintings and sculptures by Paras, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the exhibit was led by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, assisted by artists Joel Geolamen and Lynyrd Paras, along with Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, and Salcedo Auctions' Richie Lerma and Karen Lerma.
